One word: Wow.
Yeah, so it snowed. And snowed. And snowed. And snowed.
We're talking two days of cancelled school in Wyoming-type snow. We're talking 6-foot drifts that come up to the top of our balcony snow. We're talking pickup trucks getting stuck snow. Highways and interstates closed. Nothing open snow.
And tomorrow? Fifty degrees... Links will be up soon, and the coal mines will be too, no doubt, even while CBM guys flounder in the mud. In the meantime, here are a couple shots on the job yesterday... Five deadline stories and umpteen interviews in three days... Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.
The first frame shows me lounging in deck chairs that seemed quite appropriate in front of Smith's supermarket earlier this week. The second might give you an idea of the snow drifts we were dealing with yesterday. It would have been up to my shoulders if I'd been standing but made an awful comfy chair, as is.
